so I went for my first appointment... And when the doc was giving me the check up he said I might be more than 8 weeks pregnant!!!!! .O.M.G!!!! He said he thinks its around 14 weeks!!! 14 weeks??? But I had all my period regularly!!! Except november which was when I took a home preg. Test!! Arrrrggg!!! Can this be possible?? I had no symptoms before!! Only these last few weeks! Now I have to wait for a freakin ultrasound on monday to see how big the thing is!! I was so positive about this but now I am just mad/ annoyed. I was on the pill and I just stopped taking it after my october period which I am certain was a period. Arrrrrrrggg! And they said if I am more than or about 16 weeks, ill have to wait till after new years! This is absolutely not good news!! Argh.

Could I have been pregnant and on the pill so I was getting my period??? If so, wont the fetus be abnormal??? How come I didnt get any symptoms? I am short (5'1) and thin...But I get fat easily...And im not even showing. Shouldnt I be showing already if I was 14 weeks? Omg omg omg. Sad Sad Sad

excuse me but did you had sex after you stopped the pill? I'm curious about how does the uterus sheds when one is pregnant, I mean how come that happens?

i'm not exactly sure; but i'd assume that it is not the entire uterus that is shedding, but probably only the bottom area near the cervix.

Nightangel-

when women are on the pill they do not have a normal 'uterine shedding period', it is strictly a withdrawal bleed from lack of hormones.

Some women whom become pregnant on the pill will bleed a little and 'believe' it is a period, but it was in fact some spotting.

It is also technically normal to have some light bleeding in early pregnancy, as long as it is not associated with cramping..
