.You're 17. I think you should wait at
least 3 years before thinking about
having a baby. How old is your fiancee?
How long have you been engaged? Are you
living together? Do you both have good,
high paying jobs? When are you getting
married? Are you still in high school?
Are you going to college? There's a lot
to think about, &a lot to worry about.
I'm 20, pregnant, engaged, &even .I
feel like .I'm not ready. You're still a
kid. You'll never have the chance to be a
teenager again, so take advantage of it
while you can. Without having to worry
about a baby.

I'm 17 too and I promise you it's a stupid
stupid stupid idea. Go live your life
instead, your time to have babies is not
running out, but your time to be a
teenager and just have fun is.

I'm sorry this forum is to offer support
to teens who have found themselves
pregnant.
The vast majority of girls here would
never encourage a teen to get pregnant on
purpose - they know now only too well, the
hardships they are going through.
So, the message really really is wait wait
wait.
If you have to ask - you're not ready.
Things like:
how will you financially support the
child?
Stable relationship/role model parents?
Finishing school/college?
Friends/parties?
A child is a life long commitment (well 18
years anyway).

If it's your hormones telling you that you
want to get pregnant...Don't listen!

It is one of the hardest things you will
do. At 17 there arn't really any fatal
things that will happen due to getting
pregnant and giving birth because your
body is developed and you are just growing
a bit taller really. However I do have to
agree with everybody else that you should
wait, obviously if this is what you really
want to do then us telling you not to
won't stop you. I am 15 and i'm 12 weeks
pregnant and it is terrifying plus it's
not like I didn't use contraception
either. If this is what you really want
to do then good luck to both you and your
partner, but personally I would wait just
a bit longer I know that's what I thought
I would be doing.

If you want to throw away the last few
years of your life as a teenager, then go
right ahead. But you're in for a really
rude awakening. Just think about it.
You're only 17. You do not need a baby.
Seriously. Just wait until you're out of
school, living with your boyfriend (or
married to him) &able to financially
support your child. It isn't fair to
bring a child into this world when you
can't even give him or her what he or she
deserves. You're so young. You have so
much to learn.

Can you get one of those mechanical baby
things to live with for a few days and
nights? If you can then I guarantee you
will soon go off the idea of having a baby
right now.
It's your body and your decision at the
end of the day but there is a reason why
so many people are telling you it's not a
good idea to have a baby so young. Think
about it...

I agree with everyone to wait. I am 19
and 26 weeks pregnant. My fiance is 22.
How long have you been with your fiance?
We have been together for almost 3 years
and its still very hard on us. Even
being out of high school and working its
hard. Since I found out back in july I
have only been out like 2 times with
friends and its not the same cause I cant
party and just go have fun. We have
already spent like $1,000 dollars on baby
stuff and don't even have half of what we
need. I have some clothes, diapers,
diaper bag and basic stuff like that.
Even if you think you both make good
money it probably won't be enough.
Anyway, not trying to lecture or anything
lol just telling ya there is more to it
than just having a cute baby.

Just the fact that you have to ask if
there anything fatal about having a baby
at 17 means to me you're probably not
mentally prepared for having a baby. It
shows you don't know much about your body.
Why on earth would being pregnant at 17
be fatal? I can't think of a single
reason. Most women are done growing and
developing around 16ish. Um, I believe
that preeclampsia is more likely but it
shouldn't kill you. I got pregnant at 17
and had preeclampsia.
It's super cute and all that you want a
baby, but ewnjoy being young. Don't a lot
of girls have fiances at 17? I never
went through that phase, but from the time
my older sister was 15 until she finally
tricked a guy into marrying her, every
single boyfriend she had was her fiance.
I don't understand why people come to
these forums to ask serious medical
questions. We're people who got pregnant
at a young age, not doctors (yet, lol).
Use google, you'll get better information.
Or do the intelligent thing and see a
doctor. And a shrink.

"i" didnt believe there was anything fatal
going to happen. But my cousin on the
other hand say that I was going to die. I
told her no im not im 17 and fully grown.
But she insisted that I would. That is
the only reason I asked. Sorry for
bothering you.
