Mild Symptoms But Concerning...

Since I was a teenager i've had balance problems and bladder problems so I wouldn't have thought twice about these issues until I recently started suspecting ms. (i'm 23 now)

a couple years ago my hands clenched up for about 15 min or so while I was driving (like carpal tunnel) almost as if they were stuck curled closely to my wrist. Off and on i've had numbness or tinlging in my fingers and toes and sometimes legs. Recently, however, I have had the pins and needles. Almost a year ago now, I started having headaches and from the onset they didn't stop for six months. Everyday, almost, and progressed in pain level throughout the day. The headaches caused a lot of pain in my jaw and at first I though it was my wisdom teeth, although, after visiting with the dentist and my doctor we ruled that out. I've always had very bad joint pains and sometimes swelling. Rheumatoid arthritis has been ruled out however by a rhumatologist. I also have been suffering with pretty bad fatigue, mood swings, and depression. During the headaches I was diagnosed with thyroiditis but have since been declared normal again. I am at a loss. I know I need to probably just see a doc but I don't want to go in with preconceived ideas about my own diagnosis. I don't want to seem like some hypochondriac. And toboot I have no insurance at this time. Does anyone out there have reason to believe these symptoms are a call for concern?

You are the only one who knows your body. If you are concerned, have things checked out. Since you don't have insurance, go to a free clinic or even the hospital. Keep at it. Sometimes it is hard to get a diagnosis of ms so quickly. Since you had thyroiditis, are you on any meds for it. Your thyroid can cause many of the same symptoms as a few auto-immune diseases. Good luck. Wink
