It is common knowledge that (coca-)cola is
bad for the cartilidge. Is there anybody
who suffers from chondromalacia, who
drinks (or drank) a lot of coke?
Also, whenever I try to find some more
information on chondromalacia, it is
always shown as problems with the knees.
In my case, they confirmed that
chondromalacia is situated wherever there
is cartilidge: the ellbows, the wrists,
the fingers, etc..
Is there anybody out there who has been
diagnosed with the same? Do you have any
suggestions for improvement? Please let
me know.
Thanks

Hello there,
i am diagnosed with chondromalacia
patellae, in other words the cartilage
underneath both of my knee caps is
damaged. The mri of my knees clearly
showed it. I was told that I have to see
a very good specialist because I am an
athlete. I was also told that I might
have to stop training and that surgergy
might not be the solution.
A doctor told me that this condition
happens more to women than men. When the
cartilage is damaged or becoming thinner
and thinner and thus not doing what it is
supposed to do in the knees(or anywhere
else in the body for that matter), I don't
know if it is possible to replace it
somehow. And that is my biggest worry.
The same doctor told me that she has
chondromalacia in one of her knees as
well, but to a very small degree. She
was advised to do some exerises but they
helped only partially. My condition is
much more serious than hers, so I don't
know if I can expect full recovery.
