Kay she didn't even breast feed if I read that correctly so I don't think that she has any room to talk.

Room to talk about what?
Did I not state that I wish my son didnt have to be on formula?
Anyway, I was saying that laura should continue to breastfeed since she can, because breastmilk is best.

hey I was trying.....Your baby is just fine and I think that you did a wonderful job. He is a beautiful/handsome baby. My cousin wasn't able to breast feed and for 3 weeks she starved her baby because she didnt' knwo that she wasnt' producing milk. Now that is bad. You kay are awsome.

Love you right back.

We're back! We're back! Whew!

Alyvia is 23 inches long, and 11 pounds 6 ounces. She's in the 10th percentile for height and 15th for weight. Her doctor was extremely pleased with her progress (she rolled her over to listen to her lungs from her back, and .Alyvia immediately lifted her chest off of the table on her hands!) and said that, apart from being a small baby, she's perfectly healthy and very strong!

She said that I can start giving her rice cereal sometime in the next two months whenever I feel comfortable starting, and that there's no rush. We got her second round of shots out of the way (i cried again Crying
or Very sad ) and now .Alyvia is sleeping it off.

I'm so glad this is over. We don't go back until .February!

February?!?!

Well maybe because .Oni has a couple of medical issues, or has had, that they see her every month. If she's sick, then a couple times a week.

You lucky lucky dog!!

She hasn't gotten any shohts in the past 2 months, it's just her well bab visits!

I'm glad she was showing off for her Dr.!! They like that!! Wink

You have nooo idea how much easier .I'm breathing now that it's done! I think .I'm going to start the rice cereal after the holidays are over. I don't want to have to mess with it while we're dealing with company or over at someone else's house, at least until we're both used to it!

They gave .Aly one of her vaccines by mouth again. She spat most of it back out, but she did get a bit down. She coughed a lot and fussed, definitely didn't like that stuff! But I turned completely around when they stuck her. I've only heard her ".I'm in pain" cry a handful of times, and it's horrible. I started crying and didn't stop until after she did.

But anyway, she's awake again! I'm going to try to feed her if she'll agree to eat! Smile

I bet you are a great .Mommy and don't let anyone tell you differently, if you want to nurse then nurse as long as your milk is good, in a way you are lucky having tiny babas, mine were big! You are lucky that you can breastfeed, my .Mom and my .Sister couldn't and I had a difficult time with it even though I tried, their was never enough and my dr told me that I had to quit and gave me shots to dry me up(ouch), I always had to top off their tanks and their is some formula that is really good and they used to love those biscuits for toddlers they got and they never choked on them and were good for teething too, I felt my kids learned to eat rather young but the dr said it was okay and they never went hungry so I guess I was not a bad .Mom either as they are grown and very healthy now! I have learned their is no such thing as a perfect .Mom anyways we all make mistakes along the way but we do the best we can! It sounds to me that your .Alyvia is doing great!

Oni eats by herself! I think that's awesome for a 7 month old!

She also pulls herself up and will stand there for a good 2+ mins.

I think weight is a taboo thing to talk about with baby's!! No baby is going to be perfect and no 2 babies are going to add weight the same.

Since .Oni's been born, she's average 2 1/2-3lbs per month. When normally it's only 27oz that is recommended they gain...So...Its like whatever!!

As long as they're healthy!!

It's pretty amazing. This time around she took a 45 minute nap, and woke up feeling hungry. She's dirtied two diapers since then, has played in her bouncy, and is all smiles. No fever, no lethargy, no lack of appetite! The only evidence of her shots are her identical .Daffy .Duck bandaids!

Last time she felt so badly afterward. This is a nice change!

Oni only felt bad for I think 2 or 3 rounds of shots. Other than that, she was cool.

Now when she her 2 flu shots, I thought she'd be bad. But, I couldn't tell a difference!!

I gotta go...She's extreemely mobile in her walker and pulling down everything!!!! Trash can, towel, opening cabinets, and pulling down the cat's food bowl.....Now is when the weight drops!

That is great! Give .Alyvia an extra treat! All the others too! I just .Love kids, babas! You are like I used to be worry over nothing alymiyaki but I really understand where you are coming from, I used to worry about what people would say or think or am I doing this right or wrong, especially with your 1st baby then if you knew that something is going around and your baby sneezes you would worry that your baby has it, I think it is just being a .Mommy!

men, particularly, find it difficult.

I'm really sick and tired of people forcing this big militant only breastmilk is any good opinion on new mothers.

Yes, it's best, yes it's great, and yes, it's the natural way of things. If it works for you, and it works for baby then great, fantastic.
If, for any reason, it's just not working for you, or baby, or your finding it a huge worry and burden for you- then supliment, or switch, really, the most important thing for your baby is a happy mother.

It is no good to baby if mummy is miserable, stressed, impatient or edgy-no matter if he's getting all the breastmilk in the world.
Nobody thrives.

If feeding time is nice and relaxed, mummy is smiling down at baby, and both can enjoy the time together, then, really, as long as there is sufficient nutrient value in whatever liquid is going in, than baby will be better off.
Everyone thrives.

Do not let anyone make you feel guilty for doing the best you can for everyone.

funny, over here its the oppostie. All I see and hear is doctors handing out formula cans and suggesting formula to "supplement" to every breastfeeding mother.
Makes me sick. We make breastmilk for a reason.

I see your points. I never meant breastfeed against your will.
