Mononucleosis and kissing Posted: 12-12-06 17:26pm
I don't know. I recently has mono. I was
out of school for about 2-3 weeks. All my
symptoms are gone and My doctor said that
I was not contageous but she didn't take a
blood test. She said I can return to
school too. So i figured that since she
said I wasn't contageous I could kiss my
boyfriend. We did kiss. And Now im REALLY
REALLY nervous that he will catch mono. He
had mono once before but like 3 years
previous before we started going out. He's
big on wrestling and it's wrestling season
and I'm big on track and I recently had to
quit because it could strain me or
something. I really don't want him to
cathc it and now I hear you could be
contageous for about 6 months. Please get
back to me.
If you boyfriend experienced infective
mononucleosis (mono) 3 years ago, he has
developed immunity to the condition now
and he probably won’t catch mono again.
