Whenever I go to have a filling done or
something the dentists practicually always
has to give me two shots of novacaine,
because one shot just doesn't numb me up
enough to work without pain. Why is
this?

The last time I had fillings (about 3
weeks ago) he gave me like 4 shots because
I couldn't get numb. Needless to say, my
jaw was sore for about 2 weeks from
getting shot so many times. I am not
quite sure why they do this. Have you
had a lot of dental work? I've had 4
fillings and a wisdom teeth removal so i'm
wondering if you get resistant to it after
awhile.
