I have to say I dont know that much about
cutting.....But I can say you need to talk
to someone about it......If not parents
guidance counselor at school.........You
are young and you have a million things
going through your mind right

I am a 41 year old lady. I have been
cutting for three years. I have been
diagnosed with the following: bipolar,
boarder line personality disorder,self
mutilization, seisure disorder, shor term
memory loss, obsesive compolizive
disorder. That is what they say. I am
menatlly diasabke. I don't have a
supportive family. So am reaching out to
find soeone who is going through the same
thing that I am.

I work with a 28 year old guy that is a
cutter. He's not much of a talker so I
don't know how to help him. I don't know
anything about cutters. Why they do it,
what it does for them etc.? He is
embarrassed by it for sure, because he
wears clothing that covers the signs. Can
anyone give me any insite, direction or
understanding? He has not seen a doctor
about it.

I don't know if I can shed any light with
specific relation to your friend; but
personally speaking I used to find cutting
deeply cathartic. It was a release, and
channeling all your concentration on pain
is the most simple way to stop your mind
whirring and driving you to distraction.
It was emotionally purging.
I stopped 'cutting' per se, but am pretty
heavily pierced. For me, the piercing does
exactly the same as cutting but is more
socially acceptable. Perhaps it's
something you could suggest, to help stop
the cutting itself and buy some time to
work out why he's doing it in the first
place?

hey i'm new to this program but i'm also
diagnosed with borderline persinality
disorder, and self mutilization i've also
been diagnosed with major depression with
psycotic features and ptsd. i'm
physically and mentally disabled. i've
been cutting since i was 13 and now i'm
19. if you need to talk u can talk to me

hey i am a cutter i don't cut like i used
to but lately want to cut again the pain
inside is just so great and i can't seem
to talk to no one. I don't have a support
group I don't have no one I don't have
alot of friends no one to go to no one to
talk to it gets pretty lonely. all alone
and the only way i know out is to cut to
cut my pain away i am not a kid no more
and i still do it because i can't talk to
no one no one understands I wish that I
had a woman that I could talk to someone
between 35-50 someone who could help me i
have no friends my only friend is the
razor well if there is someone out there i
appriciate it.
