Mri Results

My child had an mri for speech delay (she is almost 2 1/2) and these are some of the results. Does anyone know what this means?

There are a few punctate signal changes that are
nonspecific involving the right frontal subcortical
white matter along the frontal horns and lateral
ventricles and possibly within the right temporal lobe
subcortical white matter. There are nonspecific in
nature, but may be ischemic in etiology. Prior
infectious or inflammatory disease can have a similar
appearance.

Thank you. Question

I don't know what that means, but I do know that it's relatively common for kids to start talking late. I have a friend whose little girl only knew 1 word when she was 2, and another little boy who didn't start talking until he was three. Chances are, you're just doing a really good job of understanding her without her talking, so she doesn't feel like she needs to talk. Don't worry!
