How "quirky" Is Too Quirky When It Comes to a Date Posted: 12-16-06 12:23pm
Lots of people do the "coffee meet" as a
first contact but that can get kind of
boring after a while. The atmosphere of a
job interview makes it hard to really
express who you really are. Maybe that's
not true for everyone, but let's assume
for the sake of argument that you want to
get out of the coffee shop (cause it's
going well) and do something different.
So, when faced with the quickness of
people to see "red flags" in any kind of
strange behavior, where would you draw the
line on "quirky" dates? Here are some
examples:
just riding the bus (saw this in a movie,
and i'm talking about the city bus)
going to one of those big toy stores, just
to play (this worked great for me)
visiting a really old cemetery to do
headstone rubbings (also a movie)
going trick or treating (in february, also
a really fun time)
does anyone have any other suggestions of
fun (but kind of strange) dates?

going to a theme park or something? Thats

There's quirky.. Then there's *what*??
Dude....No no no nononono and did I said-
uhmmmm no!
Try going out to dinner. Try starbucks,
or a pinic---atmosphere of a job
interview? Dates should not feel like
this... If so- rethink what in the hell
you are doing!!
Riding the bus....Cemeteries, toys, trick
or treating in the wrong month- are you
trying to make cuts for j@ck(_)_) the
movie? Buddy- there are things to do...
And judging by your suggestions... I see
that you are not a man of money.
Pay dutch- 50/50. Techincally...Whoever
asked 1st- pays. Now.. If you don't
have alot of money- there are things you
can do that won't cost a fortune.
Pinic's are great- or meeting for brunch
at a local resturant- prices change.
Flying kites..That's a toy and in a normal
place. How hot would it look if you and
your date got kicked out of meijers?
