Dealing With Live-in Inlaws During Pregancy

Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? My father in-law has lived with my husband and I since july 2006 and since I became pregnant , he has been driving me crazy and I absolutely hate him. Every thing he does irritates me. I can't express this too much to my husband because he get real sensitive about it and feels that i'm just picking on him. If anyone has any advice, please reply. Thanks!!

Your hormones are going to make you irritable, there's not much you can do to control that - but try not to nitpick at your father-in-law. Nothing good will come of it, and it will only increase friction. You might end up doing or causing something that you'll end up regretting. My advice to you is to choose your battles wisely. Ask him politely to not do one or two things that really bother you, and try to ignore the rest. It can't be easy for him living with you and your husband, and it will only make him feel worse knowing his daughter-in-law can't stand him and thinks he can't do anything right. Try to keep the peace. Good luck.

i agree! Your hormones have a lot to do with it! I feel the same way but at times it is toward my bf. It seems ever since I have become pregnant i'm 10 times as emotional. And everything now seem to get on my last nerve. I do a lot of breathing exercises if ya know what I mean..

When I was pregnant with my son I lived back at home and my little brother pissed me off no matter what he done I could not stand him. Funny thing is my son looked just like him as a baby
