Chances for pregnancy: missed pills Posted: 12-28-06 23:53pm
I have been on birth control for about a
year. during the second week of pills this
month i had the flu with one day of
vomiting and 4 of diarhea and i may have
missed a couple of pills. I had
unprotected sex around the 14th day of the
pills. What are the chances that i could
be pregnant and when is it too early to
take a pregnancy test?

If you missed a couple of pills during the
second week of the pack and had
unprotected sex on the 14th day, then you
have significant chances of becoming
pregnant. You can take a home pregnancy
test if you miss your next period. HPT
test results (urine-based,
over-the-counter pregnancy tests) are
valid when taken 5 days before an expected
period, or less. If you get your period,
then you are not pregnant.
