Is this common in pregnancy? I had it once before pregnancy. What causes this? Is it harmful? Thanks

yes for some it is it was for me when they found protein in my urine
in my 1st pregnancy I had to have the blood sugar test.
I ended up haveing preclampsia~it is something you should have tested and watch out for.It is harmful I went into early labor and lost my vision for a short period.Iam not sure of the cause.
