Diarhhea & cramping while TTC Posted: 01-01-07 00:48am
Well I really dont know where to begin,
but I had a miscarriage back in Mid
August- September. Things were fine after
that. Then on nov 23 I spotted brown stuff
and about a week later had six positive pg
tets, but all the blood tests came out
negative. Then on dec. 11 I started my
period and it ended 7 days later. The docs
didnt look at me or anything and I say
three docs and none seem concerned. They
said prob a chemical pregnancy .Starting
last week which was dec. 26 I got sharp
cramping pain in my ovary area and rectum
area. It gets so bad sometimes I cant pee
or anything, but it just goes away. Now it
isnt really time for my period but I have
very swollen tender breasts. I am
constantly tired and cranky. I mean I
sleep like ten or eleven hours a night and
I still am tired all day. I have had
diarhhea and I have lost about fifteen
pounds off and on for the past few weeks.
But it isnt from diarhhea, because that
only happens every few days. I dont know
if the diarhhea has anything to do with my
sharp pains or not but I was wondering
what the two things could mean. Like could
the cramping be from a tubal pregnancy?
And what could my diarhhea mean? I have
had it terribly off and on since july. I
do have ibs but it has never been like
this.

The pain from a tubal pregnancy does not
come and go.
The pain comes when the tube ruptures and
you would have to go to hospital.
From what you describe it does sound like
a chemical pregnancy.
If that is the case it could take a little
while for your cycle to settle back
down.
If your period began on dec 11 it is
possible that the cramping your felt
around dec 26 is from ovulation.
The loss of weight and diarrhea could well
be related to your ibs. It would be
advisable for you to contact your doctor
and ask to be referred to a
gastroenterologist to help with that
matter.
It may be that the stress of the holiday
season, coupled with the possibility of
being pregnant, only to find it was
probably a chemical pregnancy has affected
your system.

According to the data you provided about
negative blood pregnancy tests and having
your period on the 11th of December, it
seems that you ended that particular
menstrual cycle without a pregnancy. It is
too early yet to determine if you became
pregnant in your next cycle, or not.
Cramping and diarrhea are not signs of
pregnancy but could be signs of an
intestinal infection or maybe irritable
bowel syndrome (IBS). Symptoms such as
tender breasts, fatigue, and sleepiness
are not secure signs of pregnancy. You can
observe your menstrual period. If you miss
your period, you can take another home
pregnancy test.
Pregnancy test is also positive in tubal
pregnancy but the gestation sack can’t
be detected in the uterus on ultrasound
scan.
