My boyfriend and I had sex on the 7th day
of this new birth control pill I switched
to. When it says wait one week for it to
be effective, does that mean you're fully
protected on the 7th day, or the day after
the week is over ( the 8th day)?
Also, since I was on another pill the
month before, was it even necessary to
wait a week in the first place?

When switching methods, as long as you
took the new pill on the day you would
have started another pack with the old
pill, you do not need to wait 7 days.
