When You Gave Birth?

How long did you stay in hospital?
Were there any special circumstances or
complications that lead to the length of
your stay?
{for the purpose of this poll a day means
a full 24 hours.
So 8pm -8pm would be a day as would
9am-9am}
for ladies with more than 1 baby answer on
your most recent.

I stayed in the hospital for 4 days
because of the c-section. I could have
went home after 3 days, but I wasn't ready
to be walking up stairs all day.

My son was born at 11:30am on the sunday
morning and I went home at about 3pm the
following day - so just over 24 hours.
No complications. The nurses would have
liked me to stay another night I think
because I had a very very sore throat from
screaming and the gas and air and could
hardly eat or drink but I wanted to be at
home.

So would you say 21 hours and 50 minutes
away from
the forum was too short a time away
to have your first baby?

Even after I got home and was *dying* to
come here and post pics I didn't hop on
the computer right away.
I think I know where you're going with
this...

If it's just a question then I would say
it's possible, labours vary in length I
just know that personally I won't come on
here for atleast 2 days afterwards so I
can relax a bit

What if you were away from the forums for
21 hours having your baby and never
mentioned it when you came back?
Am I on the right track?

I voted 3-4 days, but that was with
.Brian. With .Jordan the nurse wanted me
out early to make room for others', so I
went home after 2 days. Bad mistake! I
had c-sections with both.
I'm so confused!

well you know, seeing as how I haven't
given birth, I wondered how long was
reasonable to be off the forums to do just
that.
I mean we're missing a few people (zany,
claudia, to name 2) and I think it's
reasonable that they are away spending
time with their kids.
And a lot of you are back but were away
for a few days, having baby and getting
settled - that's reasonable.
So is less than 24 hours away from the
forum reasonable too?

Is that likely though? And would they be
on a forum such as this every day upto and
after having had baby?
