Nope I dont think its likely. I would not
be up in the forum a day after I had a
baby and my husband was not helping cause
he was too busy with his friends

But you didn't kinda skip out the fact
that you had had the baby? And post on
here as if nothing happened?

I went in on friday the 11th nov. 2005 at
about 8pm.
I got out on monday the 14th.
1st baby I went in on a... Wednesday
morning and got out the following monday
or tuesday (longer than usual because I
was admitted due to my waters breaking at
36 weeks. They waited 24 hours for labour
to start on it's own, and then induced me.
I had to stay an extra night due to my
baby needing the ultraviolet light thingy
for jaundice)
over here in australia, uncomplicated
births- 1st or otherwise, the standard
hospital stay is two nights after the
birth.
I had 3 nights with my second, because she
was born 6 minutes after midnight so
technically, the first night didn't count.
I could've gone home, but opted to stay
the 3rd night.
You can discharge yourself though, at
anytime I think, unless, you know, they
think there's problems or something. You
have to sign a bunch of releases etc. And
you still have to be cleared by an
obstetrician before you are released.
On the surface 21 hours does not seem long
enough to go into labour, have normal
vaginal birth, be released from hospital,
and back at your computer - especially for
a first baby, where labour alone for up to
24 hours would be considered within the
normal range.
Still, anything is possible- a "friend in
law" of mine, who was a gym instructer-
she was just visiting the gym, on
maternity leave and all, just catching up
with her friends- wham, went into labour,
gave birth within something crazy like 45
minutes in the changerooms.
When help arrived, they just took her in
for a good once over, and she was out
later that evening. First baby. I'd say
she discharged herself voluntarily though.

I was in labor 14 hours and 53 minutes.
I can guarantee that I wasn't leaving the
hospital before they made me go. I
stayed for 2 1/2 days. I came back to
post that he had been born and then I
disappeared for a few days just to take it
easy.
My sil had a ridiculously easy first labor
but she still didn't get out of the
hospital before two days. But eh, that's
the us. I know where you're going with
this. I don't really believe it
either...
