I always use the changing table. I like changing her there. It's the perfect height, she knows that she's going to be changed when I put her down because she stops crying when I put her down. I use a wipe warmer also, so that's just where I always change her. We change her diaper there, her clothes, and dry her up after her bath.
I'd be sure you have lots of pacifiers. I put one in every place she goes. I have one near the recliner where we feed her, one on the bed, one near the glider where we feed her at night, one in her car seat, two in the diaper bag, and a few in the cabinet if we lose one.
I never use powder, the nurse said not to for the first year b/c it's not good for their lungs.
Ava was a 9 lb. Baby and she's still in most of her 0-3 month clothes at 2 months, but some doesn't fit her, it depends on the brand. I wouldn't get much of it though. She grew out of all her pjs quickly b/c she's long. I bought a few winter outfits too and she grew out of them b/c I didn't take her out much and it wasn't cold enough. I only had one outfit for a hot day and I would have needed a couple more of those b/c it was more hot than cold over here.
Her feet are always cold, so we use a lot of socks. We never really put shoes on her, so the few pairs I bought she grew out of.
You may want to get changing table pads for when you take the baby out and have to change the baby at a store or somewhere like that. I think it's gross to put ava on their changing table that other babies have been on. Only one place around here has their own paper to put down.
And stock up on medicine like tylenol and pediacare. If the baby gets sick all of a sudden, you may not be able to get to the store.
