Because stories like these crop up once in
a while - usually followed within a few
weeks by an appeal for donations to help
support whatever treatement is required to
sustain the "patient"'s life, or to send
them on a holiday of a lifetime.

I'll await the begging part of the story -
"please help us keep this human being as a
child - send us a donation of $10"
if by some slim slim chance it is real
then they should have all their appendages
removed too and the child should be given
to someone who will love her as a child
and not a doll.

I saw this story on .U.K news too - I
don't think it's a fake unless a .L.O.T of
professional news sources have been duped.
Very sad though. I would rather be
dead than have a life like that little
girl

I don't agree with what they did because
its very extreme and painful for their
daughter.......... But I can see where
they are coming from.
I have seen many cases where the disabled
adult is left in their bed all the time,
they are bathed and fed in their bed
because moving them is a burden. I think
that in the case of if they both died,
they wanted to be sure that their daughter
would be "easy" to take care of so that
she would not be neglected. (i am saying
"if they both died" because they stated
that they were not doing it for it to be
easy for them and that if she was 300lbs
they would still find a way, so it has to
be in the instance where someone else has
to take care of her)
the thing that they don't realise is,
regardless of how lite and uncomplicated (
no menstrual flow, no worries about breast
cancer or appendicitis) they make their
daughter the fact remains if the caretaker
views her as a burden then she will be
neglected. So basically they are putting
their daughter through all of this pain
for nothing.

I don't think this girl's parents should
have to put up with with other people's
opinions...Other people obviously can't
see it from their full on perspective
where they have to deal with the situation
every day. They probably did what they
thought was best under the circumstances.

no-one forced them to have a child.
No-one forced them to keep the child.
Disability is one of the risks you take
when you have a child.
If you aren't prepared to accept that keep
your legs shut.
There is always the choice of adoption if
you don't want to deal with the
consequences.
Selfish self centered suckers like that
should have all their bits removed too and
left to fend for themselves.
Damn they are lucky enough to be able to
have a child ffs.
They should be grateful for what they got,
because they sure don't deserve what they
have.
