Mommy Weight Gain?
Posted: 02-04-04 17:36pm

Everyone keeps telling me I need to eat more. I eat just fine though and they nag constantly...I have lunch at 10:45 this semester and i'm never hungry then...

So I guess alyvia weighs about 2 pounds now and i've only gained 8, and im 24 weeks along.. Is this bad or what?

I work out a lot and most ppl say thats good, but my apetite is getting less and less rather than more and more. I actually lost 2 lbs. At one point in my pregnancy.

They say ppl get in trouble when they figure theyre "feeding for two." but everyone else has gained more than I have on here, and ppl around me. They say shes healthy so far, but im still worried..

Nervous mumma to be
thanks ya
love mol

Hey Smile
you probably should be gaining a bit more weight. While it's great that your staying healthy, make sure your getting at least 2500 calories a day and maybe try eating snacks inbetween classes or even during class. You could buy those boost drinks or ensure, they have yummy bars too which give you the extra calories without having to eat tons. As long as your baby is healthy thats all thats important!

They always say that! I only gained 25 lbs. With my twins and I lost 11 lbs. With my first then gained it back +10 extra lbs. Before I had the baby so all together I guess I only gained 10lbs. With him. Now i'm 14 weeks and I havent gained any weight yet. I'm not complaining though! Laughing

Your doc will tell you if you're weight is safe. I'd make an appt if you don't have one soon. My friend got preggy and was like tiny. I mean, so small...... Like she had no waist! Well, she was 15 and got preggy and had a lot of complications because she was so small. Make an appt and check just to be sure.

A friend of mine only gained 15 lbs her entire pregnancy. Her baby was as healthy as could be. Yes, you doctor would tell you if your weight was unhealthy. Are you on prenatal vitamins?
