i suffered from anxiety for over 4 years
of my life. I tried many medications,
probably 5 or 6 kinds, all of them made it
worse until I found one (celexa, or
celatapram) I only took a small dose,
combined with therapy. For me, the best
therapy was having a really tight support
group. Also, facing your fears might
help. I was never leaving my house, so I
had a friend take me out for awhile each
day. Eventually, I got a full time job
and fully recovered. I stopped my meds
when I got pregnant, and have anxiety from
time to time. But remember that some
anxiety is normal, and even healthy, as it
is our bodys way of telling us something
is wrong. I am sorry to hear about your
parents, I hope you have other family to
lean on. Try to relax your mind and body,
and keep taking your meds, as long as they
dont make it worse. It might take time,
but keep fighting the good fight, you'll
find peace in time.
