Could I Be Prego?
Posted: 01-08-07 01:25am

Hi ok so heres the story. I had a miscarriage back in mid august, then I had a chemical pregnancy in november . I I am not quite late for my period or anything, but I have been having symptoms of pregnancy and so I took a test toinight and it came back positive right away, like in one minute, but my problem is that back in november I had a chemical pregnancy, but it wasnt confirmed for sure, cuz the blood tests came back negative but my urine test at home kept coming back positive, then I took a couple more a week or so later and they were negative. Now a month later, im having this be positive. So any ideas? Im just tired of getting let down by miscarriages and chemical pregnacies.

Hi! I'm sorry you've been having such a heartbreaking time. Well, if you've had a positive pregnancy test then you are definitely pregnant at the moment but it's impossible to say whether this will be another chemical pregnancy or, indeed, if it will end in another miscarriage. I would really love to be able to tell you that everything will be ok but it's just not possible to say.

If I were you, I would take another test in a week, assuming your 'period' doesn't come, and if it's still positive then make an appointment with your doctor and have blood tests done.

Good luck Smile

Pregnancy tests very rarely give you a false positive, but the doctor is the only one who can tell you if it is a chemical pregnancy or not. Hopefully it is a normal pregnancy that will result in a beautiful bundle of joy!
