ok..Where do I start. I began to have
extreme stiffnes of my neck about 6 months
ago. This stiffness originates in the
area where the neck joins the skull. I
went to see several doctors that ran tests
(mri, ct of the head, and xrays). They
could not find anything. A few months
later I began to notice strange pressure
in my chest (directly behind the sternum).
It would happen at times when my neck
would be the stiffest. I began to have
shortness of breath associated with
pressure in chest. It has gradually
gotten worse in the past two months (not
completely associated with exercise). My
doctor referred my to a neurologist, a
cardiologist, and a pulmonary specialist.
Still nothing has been found from these
tests. Yet, my symptoms continue to get
worse. There is a definite correlation
between the pressure in my chest and the
shortness of breath. At times of extreme
shortness of breath, the stiffness in my
neck is very bad. If this was involving
some other issue I would not panic. But,
this involves me breathing. I am 26
years old male with no previous health
conditions. I do not smoke or have used
any type of drug. I am not obese. I
was actually in great shape when all of
this began. Please help!!! Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I am so confused as to what direction to
go into. This is greatly affecting many
aspects of my life.
