Can I Be Preg?
Posted: 01-09-07 10:51am

I don't get regular menstrual periods but I surly will get it every month but not in exact same date. I am not sure whether I missed my period this month because I don’t keep track of the day I got my periods, but this month I am getting the cramps everyday which I usually feel a day before having period, but not getting my periods till today, and have little sensitive breast, burping a lot and feeling hungry all the time no other unusually feeling rather then these symptoms. I don’t feel nausea or vomiting, I am eating as I eat usually, no morning sickness nothing. Out of curiosity I took a pregnancy test and it came as positive. I am confused. As my husband is not much into it he said we can meet the doctor after 2 to 3 weeks, is that okay to wait that long to meet a doctor after the pregnancy test said as positive. Or can I take the pregnancy test again with a different brand. Please suggest. Can I be pregnant?

Did you say you got cramping with some bleeding *today*? If so, then no, you're not pregnant.

Have you had unprotected sex? Are you trying to conceive?

All I can tell you is go get a pregnancy test, if it says negative, then believe it. If it says otherwise, call your ob/gyn immedietly to set up something!

I get just the cramps with no bleeding. Had a unprotected sex one to two times last month. Took a preg test and said as positive. Should I do it again to confirm.

Nope, don't waste your money!!

You're pregnant if a test says you are. There's a higher chance of a false*negative* than a falkse positive.

Call your ob/gyn and let them know!!

How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

Most doctors won't see you until you're 8-10 weeks along so you're fine waiting.

You might want to get an over the counter prenatal vitamin. It is possible to be pregnant with not many symptoms. Just contact your ob/gyn and they will make an appointment for you. It won't be right away. They usually wait until you are about 8 weeks along.

Symptoms are things you might feel, not things you absolutely will feel. So yes, it's normal to not feel some of them.

You got a positive result. You're pregnant.
