Does anyone else take seroquel? I've been taking it for a little over a year and have noticed that if I don't sleep w/in an hour of taking it, I begin to have hallucinations. Has anyone else had this problem?

I used to take it up until about a week ago when I found out im pregnant. I didnt get hallucinations with it though. If I didnt go to sleep right away I would get restless legs and arms, and I would get hungry or I would just become wide awake. But everybodys reactions to it are different. Maybe you should speak with your doc. I know at one point a few years ago cuz I was on it for about five, the doc had me on way to much of it and I slept for days at a time, I would literally have to drink 7 or 8 energy drinks just to stay awake. So it might not be the drug for you or maybe you are on too high of a dosage.

please go to your doctor immediately. I do not want to hear you have been in the hopsital just because you were not able to go to doctor. If you cant sleep then maybe you can ask your doctor what you can do to help doze off. My friend who used to take seroquel needed to take some sleeping aids so he can sleep. He eventually learned to sleep well.

Also, some tips. Do not drink anything that has caffein. Like coffee, coke, or chocolates. It makes you feel awake. Another is, try to go to bed and just try to sleep. Every night. Eventually you will learn to sleep early. Do not make your bed an activity place like playing guitar or games.

If you are having hallucinatins I believe the best thing to do is go to the doctor and have your medicine adjusted. Or changed. Just talk to the doctor. They can help you best. =) :d

I have only been on the med for just under two weeks and I have already noticed some side effects - like some leg twitching, cloudy state of mind - on the lower doses I would fall asleep within an hour and sleep for about 8-10 hours. I am now at 600mg and it takes at least 2 hours before I get sleepy (after some hardcore food cravings) - I have not noticed any weight gain yet (as I have been suffering through my foo cravings without actually indulging). I did have some auditory hallucinations on about the 3rd day of taking the drug, but I was also diagnosed with psychosis so it could have been due to that. The main this I notice is that my moods are more stable through the day - I only take a night dose after I get off work at 11:30pm but the medication slightly wears off around 10pm and I get somewhat hypomanic during that time.

Mitamins team: I really think it's unfair of you to come here and try to solicate business and post multiple times on each thread. Once is fine, but people come here for emotional support. Take your business elsewhere

I take seroquel but in a baby dose. As some start out with 400 mg, i'm on 25 mg and i'm passed out when I go to bed. It does wonders for me as I have obsessive thinking and can't sleep without a sleep med. I love it and i'm happy I only need a little bit. My daughter on the other hand starts to hallicunate!

I was on a baby dose of Seroquel for 2 years and just could not get up in the mornings. It cost me two jobs because I was having trouble getting to work on time. I just discontinued it about 1 month ago and started taking Depakote.
I have had no side effects from Depakote so far, and I am much more aware and my ups and downs have leveled out substantially, even though being unemployed is really tough.

I'm only very recently on Seroquel and am on a 200mg dose. I get sleepy, but have noticed no side-effects.

Talk to the doc.

oh my goodness, I feel so much better. I have been having these hallucinations too. I've lost 90 pounds and they never adjusted my meds. I take 300 mgs. at night and have noticed this, so I lowered it and it made a difference. Talk to your doc about it.
