Is that the chick that's been feeding him
cereal? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Yea I know...He's only about 5lbs under my
8 1/2 month old.
Ya see what happened was, her mom was
watching .Caleb and decided upon herself
to start the cereal w/out Dr.S concent.
Soooo, when .Manda found out, she was
pissed but felt that he would trip out if
she just cut him off. So not only did she
continue, but she increased the amount.
She asked me how old .Oni was, and how
much I gave her, and I told her she had to
talk to his Dr., because what's right for
.Oni, isn't going to be right for him. 2
*totally* different baba's.
In 2 weeks time, he gained 3lbs and his
new Dr.S flipped out!! Yea, he was born
at 9.7, but *come on*!!! That's a lil
much.
His new Dr. Told her to continue cereal,
but cut it down to 1/2 teaspoon per ounce.
He's also on infamil lipil, he has a
horrible tummy (prob because of the damn
*piles* of cereal they were putting in his
bottle)!!!
He's now on a *strict* diet, because he
will not be able to reach his milestones
because of his weight!!!
I love him soooo much! He's my 1st
nephew!!!!!

I dunno what's up with older women and
their insistance with giving solids so
early. I guess it's what was done back in
the day, but still. My dad's wife was
trying to convince me to give .Aly cereal
after just a few weeks, and was insisting
that she was so small because I wasn't
feeding her enough. She also begged me to
put .Aly on formula. She shut up after
the doctor said .Aly was just fine and
very healthy.
I would absolutely flip my sh*t if she
slipped cereal into .Aly's bottle.
.Caleb's a cutie though! Lmao I just
realized I hadn't said a word about how
cute he is.

She had called me the day she found out
here moms was putting cereal in the bottle
and asked me what she should do! I told
her to scold her mother for making that
kind of decision for a child that isn't
hers. Then I told her to take him off the
cereal, he was big enough, he didn't need
it.
I then told her to call his Dr. And see
what he said about the matter of .Caleb
being on cereal.
But she ain't listen...Oh well. He cries
soooo much the poor lil baby. I mean
soooooo much! I guess it's just weird to
me because .Oni never made a peep really.
I mean she cried now, but not like that.
I wuuub my big maaaan!

it is strange my grandmother kept buying
my sister baby cerials when her first was
1 week old saying it would be good for
him! Fair enough daniel did start onbaby
rice at 6 weeks old I think but that was
because the health visitor recommended it

I know for a fact that babies can survive
purely on breastmilk for the first six
months. I flatly refused to give her
anything for at least the first four, or
until her doctor recommended otherwise.
At her four month checkup, her doctor said
I could begin rice cereal within the next
two months at my convenience, so we waited
until the new year. She started a few
days shy of her 5 month mark.
Poor little .Caleb. That's exactly why I
didn't want to start too early. I'm too
afraid of her reacting poorly to it, or
getting digestion problems, or developing
an allergy or something. *sigh* .I'd
never forgive myself if I somehow caused
my child to go through that.

How long was the grandmother giving him
cereal for? (you did say she started it,
right?) it couldn't have been that long, I
would've cut him off completely. Oh
wells.
He's very cute though! I love smiley
babies! And sarah, you're so pretty!

Hahahahahhaa @ the .Crest commercials!!!!
My .Dentist would be lovin these
compliments!
thank you .Bridg!!! You're beautiful
yourself .Ms .Barrymore!! Hahaha!!
I just talked to .Manda and she said thank
you all so much for the compliments!!
She(the grandmaw) had him on it for about
a week and a half. I told her the same
thing! Cut his ass off!! He *doesn't*
need it!
I said, at least call his Dr. And see if
he recommends it. If not, then cut him
off. If he says it's ok, maintain the
same amount, don't increase.
I told her that the cereal, I would bet,
is the cause for his belly problems. We
alll know how miserable it is to be *over
stuffed*!!
He's a total bottle baby. He makes a
peep, she puts a bottle in his mouth. But
she'll give apple pedialyte over water. I
don't get that either.
I told her day before yesterday, when she
came back from the Dr.S that she needed to
give him water being that he's now on a
special diet.
The *awesome* thinga bout .Manda is, she's
always open for advice and new techniques.
This is her first baba and she's very
protective. Especially since .Oni had
.R.S.V, her paranoia sky
rocketed!!
