I would love to know what I am having.
But I cant. The hospital where I will
have my scans and visits wont tell you!!
Its very frustrating!!
There is a private hospital about 20 min
drive away that will tell you but it costs
about £100. And to be honest what with
this being our third 'mouth to feed' we
could put that money to better use
elsewhere so I will have to stick with the
surprise!

Ok sorry I have to ask why?
Do they give you a reason they won't tell
you the sex of your baby?

reasons or just for insurance purposes
maybe they dont want to get it wrong!!
Have no idea really but it sucks!!

some hospitals won't tell you because they
fear reprisals should they get it wrong.
Another outcome of today's compensation
culture. Another reason is the fact
that some cultures/religions have
prefernces for certain genders, usually
males, and may abort if they know the
child they are carrying is not the gender
they want. This is what the hospital I
had my scans with my son at told me.
They, however, did tell the sex!

my Dr. Told me bluntly before the scan
started. "ok. 3 things I need to tell
you. I don't repaint rooms, I don't have a
crystal ball, & I can't put it back in
once it's out!"
the 1st scan I had, "here's the package.
It's a boy!!"
i didn't believe him, so I asked him how
much would it cost for a sex
determination. He said $250! So I
scheduled a sex determination to "make
sure."
the next scan, he said the same 3 things.
He found her bits and said "it's a girl!"
i reminded him of what he had said 2 weeks
prior and he looked confused. He checked
my chart and was like, "hold on...Let me
check again!"
he confirmed a girl and said "i'll retire
if it isn't a girl! But you have your 38
week scan, so we'll for sure see then!"
well...We all know .Oni came at 37 weeks
and I was totally confused as to what her
sex was!!! Thank .God it was a
*girl*!!!
Scans *suck*!!

I was thinking now I have made this topic,
I may as well put this question here!!
Since I have stopped smoking I have been
literally eating all day! To start with I
kept it to fruit and tried to be healthy
but it got to the point where I was eating
so much (seriously) I got bored with
it!!
Any tips on how to stop eating so much and
when will this stop!!! I gave up a month
ago thought the cravings for food would
have stopped by now!! I am beginning to
think, that big 'baby' belly you all
thought I had might actually be a greedy
belly!!

The same thing happened with me!
Quitting smoking made it hard for me to
curb my appetite!!! Hence the thousands
of stretch marks!! Ha!!
Just say *no*!!! Lol!
