Bacterial Infections
Posted: 01-11-07 21:38pm

Hi girls,

last week when I was to my doctor I had a swab done as I as noticing green discharge. My doctor called me yesterday and she told me that its from an over growth of bacteria, and that it is normal during pregnancy and that she does not want to treat it with antibiotics, but has told me to eat lots of yogurt. She said that if it is driving me nuts she will prescribe an antibiotic for me. It is not really bothering me. I am just achy down there, but I think that that is mostly because I have been constipated off and on for weeks now.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how was it treated if at all?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

mary

Hi ingi,

it is sometimes green, other times just white. Its not itchy or anything and it doesn't bother me at all other than the fact I know it is there.

My doctor told me not to worry about it, that it is very typical in alot of pregnancies.

Mary
