Wife Wants to Get Pregnant After Stillborn 1 Month Ago Posted: 01-11-07 22:38pm
My wife and I lost our baby on dec. 3,
2006. She was 23 weeks pregnant when it
happened. Jayden was stillborn at 2:34pm
and our lives were turned upside down.
Now it has been just over a month since
that day and we want to become pregnant
again. How long should it take before
her body is ready? Our doctor said to
wait three months after her first period
but that seems like a long time. Our
doctor seems to be very conservative.
She even advised us not to have sex during
the last pregnancy. Has anyone else been
told that??? How long has everyone else
waited to become pregnant again???

I am very sorry for your loss.
People who are at high risk during
pregnancy are advised to abstain from
having sex. I was advised to abstain for
the first few months as I had had 2
miscarriages before. It is adivsed that
you wait at least 3 months becuase her
body needs to return to "normal" it is
possible to get pregnant right away but it
could carry a higher risk of miscarriage
or something. I would wait at least a
couple of months. Give yourselves time
to heal before jumping right back in.
