im sorry if this is an inconvenience but i
woke up about a week ago and i was really
itchy on my arms and my back and the tops
of my hands. then a couple days ago my
face started to swell up and i was getting
these little red dots everywhere from my
waist up. i have a temperature of 99.2
which i know is not that high but is
slightly higher than normal i would
assume. however i know it is not chicken
pox because i have has them before and
know what they look like and these look
nothing like that. also there are spots of
blothyness where the spots are. i am
thinking that it is german measles. can

It is very hard to diagnose a skin disease
without seeing the lesion. Visual
inspection is the major diagnostic tool
used in dermatology. Measles (morbilli),
rubella (German measles), chicken pox
(varicella), erythema infectiosum (fifth
disease) and exanthema subitum (three days
fiver, sixth disease), are all viral
infections with skin manifestations
(rash). Beside skin rashes, fever is also
present during these conditions. Many
allergic skin rashes and scarlatina
(bacterial infection) may have similar
clinical manifestations. You'll need an
examination from a dermatologist or an
infectologist to establish a correct
diagnosis.
