Hey Guys Need to Help My Dad Find Out Whats Wrong With Him
Posted: 01-14-07 00:47am

Im doing some research to find out what could be wrong with my dad.

He has had these scenarios over a few years now but they are becoming worser in intensity.

All of this happens at night, early in the morning while sleeping..

He gets these spasms in the lower stomach area and this causes his whole body to pull backwards, like he's having a fit. He lifts his legs and bends his knees to stop the initial spasm, then goes for a quick walk at the back to relieve the pain, usually causing the spam to stop.

My dad is 58, fairly fit, works offshore 5 weeks on 5 weeks off, on the rigs.

I thought maybe it was spasms but I think there might be something more to that.

Ive done some research on the net and found that he might be lacking magnesium or vitamin b12, but as I said there must be something more to it.

What do you guys think, any ideas??

What could be done to at least ease the spasms? Do some situps before bed?

Many thanks in advance

Are the spasms in his back and legs as well or just his stomach? I might be able to help if these are also a factor. I am not a medical professional but I also expierenced spasms at night and was diagnosed and medicated for it and that has been very helpful. But first I would like you to break it down a little bit mor before I say anything so that I know if I am giving proper advice.
