I don't know if i'd say she's not worried about her, maybe she doesn't have the transportation to get there. She does live on an army base, and they might not have services daily.

I, personally, would take her the .E.R, but again, if she doesn't have a car, how can she do that? If a hospital isn't in walking distance...It'd be kinda hard.

But after .Oni having .R.S.V, and it being .R.S.V/flu season...I wouldn't take *any* chances.

Matter of fact, .Oni is teething, and she's getting kind of congested. If it doesn't get better by this afternoon, she's going to the Dr.... Period.

I have a son already I wouldnt take a child with a cold to the e.R., but I dont know how to get to the er either hubby might have an idea. Wich it would be really good to know how to get there myself as well, its close by in the city right near us.

It seems like some of you think that I dont care about my kids. But eh whatever

we went up to the clinic today, her lungs are clear, everything else seemed fine . Just congested, they didnt give me anything just told me to use the saline drops etc. And bring her back if she gets a fever of 100.4 or higher rectally or gets worse or has problems breathing. Shes 9.5 lbs now Smile but I gotta go change a really nasty diaper from my son lol

Honey, it sounds to me like you have a child with a cold and nothing more. I am not a doctor but I have been in health care for 17 years and I have 4 children. If she truly had rsv she would be rattling in her chest and have a fever. My oldest son had rsv and he had more than a snotty nose. I now have a 1 year old daughter and she became very sick with a snotty nose and was miserable when she was about 2 weeks old and all it was, was a cold. Just be sure to have the doctor check your little ones ears to make sure that all of the nasal congestion and mucus has not backed up in to her little ears and caused an ear infection. I do not blame you for wanting to take her to a civilian hosp. If she is not running a high fever, vomiting, diahrrea or something equally as serious as those listed, the civilian hospitals can sometimes over or under treat, and the fact that she would have to go to a german hosp. Is reason enough to wait and see the doctor there on base.
Like I said I am not a doctor but I have been in health care for 17 years and I have 4 children and it all sounds to me like a cold and nothing more.

Yeah I was going to say the same thing.

You can't freak out (and you didn't) everytime your baby has the sniffles. My daughter had rsv when she was only a few weeks old, and there are more symptoms than just a runny nose.

You were right for not bringing her to the er. They probably would've yelled at you, lol. Bringing a child with a cold to the er just puts it at risk of getting something worse that someone else has. Especially at 3 weeks old, they have weak little immune systems.

My baby didnt' have much more than the sniffles either until the day that I took her to the Dr....And she didnt' have anythign much more than that until after I picked her up from the daycare...Then she was ill.

I wasn't saying that she had rsv I just wanted to have her get her baby checked because I never in a million though amelia would get it either....They said the common cold could change into it. I wasnt' paranoid until she got it...

Oh I understand. I think she definitely should've been checked, and she was. But whoever's telling her she doesn't care about her daughter because she didn't rush her to the er is being ridiculous.

If you want to play the technicality game, go ahead. In my opinion you were being rude and ridiculous.

I think she's banking on the fact that she never used the terminology "doesn't care". Doesn't care... Not worried. All sounds the same to me.

But it isn't, and apparently that doesn't matter.

Ohhhh!! I see! Lol...It took me a min, even after reading the posts!! I'm silly!

Man, whatever. This post is over. The author of the post apparently resolved the issue with .Chase and it doesn't need to be brought up again.

I didn't bring it back up, it was here when I got here lol.

And I was never rude, just offering my opinion.

She said the whole time she was going to have her checked.
