So things have been going pretty good lately... .I've decided that .I'm going to work up to my 35th week, then .I'm going to start my maternity leave and finish getting everything ready for the baby, and take a well deserved rest until the baby gets here.

.I'm feeling really proud of me and my bf these days... Since .I found out .I was pregnant, both of us have been working between 40 and 60 hour work weeks, and we've saved a nice bit of money.I've got a crib and a change table, and tons of clothes. My best friend is throwing me a baby shower this weekend, and .I know .I'll be getting a highchair, stroller, and a car seat.I think its actually starting to hit me now that we're going to have a baby relatively soon. But its still weird....Like .I can feel her kick, and look in her room, but there's still something really surreal about it all. Does/ has anyone else found the same thing?

And we've finially decided on a name....Molly elizabeth.I really had my heart set on .Molly, if anyone remembers :p. But .I like .Elizabeth for her middle name because .I think it makes .Molly, which .I would normally consider a little girl's name, sound more mature. And plus, its also my bf's grandmother's name.

And one quick question.... Do most couples who have a baby and aren't married go with the mother's last name or the father's? Because .I was planning on giving her my bf's last name, because we do eventually plan on getting married, so .I figured that would make the most sense.

<3 .Sophie

Congrats, hon! Sounds like everything is coming together!

I didn't really feel surreal. I would stare at her crib and cry because I wanted her here so badly. I don't know why, but looking at her crib and little clothes hanging up and her changing table, it would make me miss her so badly.

I adore the name you chose! It flows very well together, and .Elizabeth does give it maturity.

I love the name you chose! Molly is such a sweet name.

For me it didn't feel surreal until after I gave birth. I would look at him and think "he used to be inside me", it's been over 2 months and I still think like that sometimes.

As for the last name, if you're going to be married eventually then I think it would be easiest to just give the baby the dad's last name. That's what we did. Oh, and even though you're doing that they'll refer to the baby as baby "mother's last name" in the hospital.
