Man, you are so lucky. We decided that we
want to know the sex of our baby and they
just will not tell you down here in
halifax. It really sucks. Since I have a
high risk pregnancy because of my weight
we are hoping that they will tell us.
Cross your fingers for us.
Hehe I didnt know for sure till 36 weeks
but here they ultrasound at every
appointment but they wont tell u the sex
until 20 weeks, even though u can see
something at 17 wks, they wouldnt tell me
. They usually try and do it around 20
wks since thats when they do the
ultrasound to measure the baby before they
get to big to measure properly.

Wow, we only get one scan here. And thats
around week 19-20. They only offer a scan
later on if they suspect that there are
problems. And again as for the sex, they
just wont tell ya!! Buggers!
I had to specifically ask to know the sex,
and that was around 20 weeks.. I was
told it looked like a girl but there was
no guarantee. Then at one of my later
scans (around 34 weeks I think) I asked
again and it was definitely a little
girl!
**edited to add**
my baby was being awkward during the scan,
and that's why the sonographer wasn't
sure.. So really it depends on how
co-operative your baby is feeling as to
whether you find out the sex!
