Hello .. My boyfriend who is to to toooooo drastic wants me to get a shot of truth syrum .. How does that stuff work? And does it really work and make you say the truth ?? .. And is it illegal in the us?? Wud any of you consider takeing it ?

I'm not exactly certain that it is available for regular use in the u.S. I would think not... I know that it is used in various medical procedures which leads me to believe that it is a controlled substance.

Also truth serum is highly ineffective as a means of making someone tell the truth. It's effects are comparable to being drunk. You will lose inhibitions but it can not make you do something that you do not wish to do. So even if under it's influence, if you choose to not tell the truth then you will not.

I have a kind of obvious-elephant-in-the-room conclusion to throw out here, but if your boyfriend doesn't trust you enough to answer his questions and would be willing to subject you to potentially harmful medication to get 'the real truth' out of you - why are you together?
