Fainting During Pregnancy
Posted: 01-16-07 13:39pm

I've always been a little weirdo I have bad anxiety attacks sometimes get weak dizzy and pass out, only for a few seconds , I think the longest I was ever out for was about 20 seconds. Two times since my 15th week I have fainted although there really hasn't been any lead up to it , usually I know very well when i'm gonna faint but these times my heart rate goes way up and I hit the floor. I have no time to brace myself or warn anyone.
I am going to see a doctor about it this afternoon but I was wondering if any of you have ever experienced this before...

I have severe anxiety disorder, &.I've had a few minor panic attacks during my pregnancy, &one really bad one where .I fell to the floor &pretty much blacked out (.I was still concious).. &.Sometimes when .I'm at work, .I get super dizzy &lightheaded &.I black out &have to sit down for a really long time. I'm also anemic, which is one reason .I think the latter happens. I've been taking iron supplements which has helped a lot. Maybe you're also anemic? &.If your panic attacks are a problem, tell your doctor, &s/he should be able to refer you somewhere to get a prescription medication that's safe during pregnancy.

I had anxiety attacks with my first pregnancy, but not so far with this one.

I hate them, it's the worst feeling in the world.

I hate them to, it's not a fun feeling, my body feels like it weighs 500pounds and it's pretty rough to cope with. Doc says I just gotta stay calm , being the stress casa that I am doesn't help ... So wish me luck! Smile

I passed out all the time when pregnant with nathan, I had very low blood pressure which is unusual in pregnancy. The worst time was when I was grocery shopping, I felt like I was going to throw up, then woke up with about 5 people standing over me, and a ambulance already enroute. Embrassing. The doctor said it was because I am such a small person, and nathan was sooo darn big. He would cut blood flow off to areas when squirming around. I haven't had any problem yet with this one...We'll see
