Is This Normal? Posted: 01-16-07 20:29pm
I have been with my girlfriend for about 5
1/2 years now and will be marrying her
soon. The reason for the procrastination
is because we're both trying to finish
school first. Anyway, during our first
2-3 years of the relationship we had sex
all the time probably couple times a week
or more. Then it started to gradually die
down. Now its once or twice every couple
weeks, but we have moments. I also find
myself looking at porn more often now. I
pretty much masterbate more than we have
sex. Sex was such a routine at the
beginning and i'm wondering if it was
wrong for us to have sex so much at the
beginning. Is this something normal for
couples to go through? I love this girl
alot and I don't want it to become an
issue when we get married. We've both
agreed that its just something that
happens when you've been together for a
long time and its nothing we both complain
about but I was just wondering if this is
a normal thing?

this is completely 100% normal and that
tends to be an excuse people give for
cheating. Your sex life will ebb and flow
throughout your relationship.

I do think about cheating and i've had
opportunities but losing her is the last
thing I want which is why I haven't
cheated on her. Thanks for the reply and
making me feel alot better.

I'd say it's completely normal.
However, that does not mean there aren't
things you can do to increase your's and
her's sexual interest, satisfaction and
general healthy sex life. Look around for
techniques.

I have experienced that in every long term
relationship that I have been in. I
would say that it is very normal.
