Hey everybody! I was wondering what you all wore the first few months of your pregnancy. I am around 7-8 weeks along and have gained no weight but my tummy sticks out so far that I can't wear my pants, shorts, or skirts anymore. It is so irritating because everyone is saying that I shouldn't be switching clothes yet and that I am just imagining it. Well, last night I hung out with my 2 sisters (one of whom has been pregnant 5 times and the other one been pregnant 3 times) and they can't figure out my tummy either! It is really hard and you can't pinch anything off of it. In fact, you can't pinch anything off of me anywhere! I am so frustrated because I have no clue what to wear. The 2 pair of maternity pants that I bought are way too large around the legs because my legs are still skinny and all of my normal pants don't fit me because the waist won't button. I did buy a pair of bigger jeans but they are already getting too tight around the belly and any size bigger looks dumb around my legs. Rolling Eyes

sorry too ramble you guys. I needed to vent. Talk later

I wore my pre-preg clothes until I couldn't anymore. The first maternity thing I remember buying was a pair of black pants for work. Then a couple of shirts, then bigger bras, then a few pairs of pants. After I was taken off work, I bought a sh|tload of jammies to lounge around in, which worked out incredibly well because that's pretty much all I wear now as a stay at home mommy. Wink

I wore my regular clothes. They started to get a little uncomfortable around 12wks. I still can wear my pre pregnancy clothes and im 38wks!!! But they are a little uncomfy on my lower stomach when I sit down so I wear my soffee pants when I go out.

I wore my normal jeans til I really couldn't anymore but all I did was zip them up as far as I could (had a shirt on that hid the zipper obviously) & I looped a hair tie around the button & thru the hole...I don't know if .I'm explaining it right but that was how I did it the whole time I was pregnant. I was able to wear one of my pairs of jeans right up until I had .Kaylee..

Maybe that would work for you?

hehe, I was going to suggest that!

What you are experiencing is early pregnancy bloating and it is very common. Maybe you could get some relaxed fit type pants?

I think that I am going to try the loop thingie. That should work I think.

Yeah, I know that it is bloating but it is so different feeling than my bloating before I have my period.

This is off the subject but..... Is it bad to sleep on your stomach? Just wondering.

I slept on my belly until it started turning into a bump... Even though a few times in the beginning of my pregnancy before I got used to not sleeping on my stomach, .I'd wake up & catch myself on my belly & flip over real quick. Not sure if it can hurt anything that early on but I was too paranoid to chance it.

This early in your pregnancy, it should be fine. Do it now while you can, because later on you'll be soooo sick of sleeping on your left side. Wink

I was able to wear my pre-pregnancy jeans throughout my whole pregnancy and never wore maternity pants or anything like that....I never really went anywhere except to my doctor appointments, store and my work, I tried to avoid wearing jeans as much as possible but when I did I always wore them on my hip. But like everyone else said, I bought a lot of those elastic waiste outfits with the matching jacket.

I'm a pajama pants girl too haha.

i am 9.5 weeks along and I sleep on my stomach all the time. The doctor said it would not hurt anything and I could do it until it was uncomfortable for me. I will be in trouble when I can't sleep on my stomach anymore, that's the only way I can fall asleep fairly quickly!!!
