Headaches From Withdrawal? Posted: 01-18-07 12:33pm
hello,
i was an everyday user of marijuana for
about 2 years until I quit on jan 2nd. I
also developed a mild ativan/klonopin/over
the counter sleeping pills habit last
year, would take one of the above about 5
nights a week for the past year in
addition to the marijuana. I have also
lost about 25 pounds recently (did this
the healthy way, eating better, exercising
more).
In the past two weeks i've started to get
headaches. I virtually never get them,
maybe have had 20 headaches in my life and
they always pass. This one is different
though, i've had it for about 2 weeks and
it's not improving. It travels around my
head -- sometimes in the back, sometimes
in the temples. The area where the
headaches is feels "warm".
I imagine these headaches must be
withdrawal symptoms, because they started
so soon after I gave everything up. Does
that sound right? Anyone experience
similar? How long will the headaches
last, and when should I be worried that
it's something besides withdrawal?
Thanks for any help!!

I have recently cut out my bad smoking
habits as well pot and 95% of cigerette
smoking as well - i used them both for at
least 2 years
i also started getting headaches, pretty
much started in the 2nd or 3rd week in
Jan. and they are done now for the most
part
I dont know if this really helps - but
they could be caused by stress relation -
you should search for times of headaches
to try to find something that describes
what you are having... i had something
similar to what ppl on here call ice pick
headaches along with the problems you've
described
