babies cry non stop if they are colicky...My son cried all day yesterday for no good reason..Cranky maybe? I know its hard because its your baby but there is such a thing as a baby who just cries...And besides she thingk she might have thrush that causes them to be cranky...

with all due respect .Emma, you are not a doctor....Your son may just be cranky, but it is irresponsible to tell .Tink that there is nothing wrong and passing it off as nothing.....How would you feel if .Tink comes in here in a couple of days with a morbid story (heaven forbid).

Like I said before, you don't take risks with newborns.

irresponsible my @ss.....Overreacting a tad over nothing...If the child has a cold then go to the Dr...Its so ridiculous to assume something is wrong when a baby cries ..

Ya know...Before .Oni had .R.S.V, I wouldn't run to the Dr. Everytime she sniffled or cried. I'd grab the .Tussin, and tylenol, and go from there. If her symptoms didn't get better, then i'd *call* the Dr. And see what they advise me to do.

Tink, if .Jordynne was sick on .Monday, and now her symptoms/attitude haven't improved. I'd take her in as soon as your able to.

I wouldn't expect you to go in the horrible weather and risks yalls lives trying to get there. That's ridiculious.

Oni also had severe thrush. But it didn't make her cranky (to a point where i'd make a note of it) she was a newborn, of course she's cranky...Period.

I ain't gonna bash you, doin that would be pointless. Make sure you just keep a close eye on her and her actions. If she becomes lathargic...Screw the weather...

Ok so the wind is bad.
But you have already reported illness in your baby, recently.
Baby is only a couple weeks old.
You repeatedly ask for "advice" then state you already decided what you were going to do. Why ask for advice if you don't want it?
You only get cranky because people are giving the advice and people get cranky back because you basically say "stuff you" to them.

Personally i'd drive in a wind storm if I was concerned about my child's health.
We've got major winds here in the uk right now. In fact steve's work colleague was phoned by his wife
wife: "hi sweetie, um can you come home like now?"
him: "umm, I could, why?"
wife: "well, the roof has blown off the house"
him: "you mean some tiles have come down?"
wife: "no, the roof has blown off the house"
him: "what, all of it?"
wife: "yes"
him: "i'll be right there"

if you aren't that concerned (things seem okish) then why on earth have you not rang the doctors office/hospital to ask for advice during the day?

My normal response to people who ask this kiind of question is "if you have to ask then you ought to act".

Apparently the whole conversation (on speaker phone) was dead calm and matter of fact.

Steve even said to him, "you took that well." and he replied "not much else I can do"
