Help! Should I Stop Taking My Pill? Posted: 01-18-07 15:00pm
I started taking yaz birth control pills
last tuesday on the first day of my
period. It has been 8 days and I have
taken all 8 active pills, but I still seem
to have my period. My periods typically
last from 4-6 days and on the last few
days are much lighter but the bleeding I
am experiencing now does not seem to be
the usual end of my period spoting. I am
also still experiencing slight cramping.
Is it normal to have a longer period and
cramping when birth control is first
started?
Thanks

Dont stop taking it until you talk to your
doctor. You should be fine... You can
call your pharmacist too if you like

That is 100% normal.
You have to give the pill time tp snych
with your body. Women tend to have 2-3
months of irregular spotting and bleeding
while adjusting tp the pill.
