I made her an appointment this morning its at 11:30am with her pediatrician. She soudned congested this morning again so I told them. And the crying for 2 days and not sure why. I also made an appt for myself to figure out if I got a cold or allergies or both hopefully get some meds to get over it so we can stop passing the germs through the house. My appt is at 10:20 so eh I gotta go get joseph up seeing as its already 9:15am. At least I had a shower at 5am, she slept good last night, jason was massaging her belly till she fell asleep then moved her and I did it so she went back to sleep. It worked but she is cranky again this morning. But eh hopefully it all gets sorted. Im tired of sick people

Went to the Dr Spent All Day There Ugh
Posted: 01-19-07 08:58am

Went to the dr , left the house 10 this morning its 2:45 ugh. Her pediatrician said she sounded good and that the decrease in poopy diapers was fine and good, nothing to worry about, but because she still gets congested at night he gave me decongestant/moisterizing drops for her nose , evidently your supposed to put the drops in then suction the nose he said not to suction it before u put the drops in it. I got a nose sucker from the dr too wich is better then the one I had it was alittle noses one I dont think it has as much suction to it.I got some meds for my cold too and allergy meds Smile , joseph got his flu shot to wich wasnt too bad. He screamed for a second then he got a lollipop then he was fine.

Such a pain going to the drs it seems. As usual the pediatrician was behind then the pharmacy closed from 12-1 so I went to burger king then came back and spent almost 2 hrs getting his shot and the nasal drops. Its been rainy all day so I guess the rain that was supposed to be last night came this morning and all day today. Finally home but I gotta change diapers and clean the house.

I am relieved that everything worked out well .Tink. It makes sense that she was miserable because she was congested, because babies only know how to breathe out of their nose, unlike older kids and adults who can breathe out of their mouths with no problem if they are congested.

only when you spend 2-4 hrs sitting around waiting. If I was on my deathbed I wouldnt wanna go there and sit there for hours waiting to be seen. They do the temp checks etc fast then u sit waiting for the real Dr.

Why do you have to point negative things out of everything I say.

I think pretty soon im just not gonna post here anymore, all I here is negative things from everyone almost. You act like im hanging my kid out my car window or just leaving them and not paying them any attention or that I dotn care about them or something. Maybe u guys got husbands that can just up and leave work to take yer kids to the dr or ya only got one kid so there fore its alot easier. But I have 2 under age 2 and my husbands training to go away right now so he cant help me out. I cant even go to the dentist for myself so I will have a toothache forever. Because u cant take kids there. And yes I have friends 2 of them , one I wouldnt trust with a newborn and hteo ther has 2 kids under 2 as well both of wich whose husbands just left for afghanistan for a year so I dont awnt to ask them to watch my kids when they just left 2 weeks ago.

I love my kids. Im sorry I dont freak out that there gonna die from a sniffle. I doubt id get arrested for not taking themt o the dr over a sniffle, but she went to the dr and shes ok. Her temp was like 99.1 but the dr didnt seem worried unless it was over 100.4 . He said she seems completely healthy , her nose wasnt even congested when we were there , her ears are fine , her mouths fine, lungs clear. So the cryings just a cranky baby.. Go figure but whatever,

thanks for those of u that left advice and not rude or negative comments.

i dont mind going to the drs just not spending 4 hrs there! I dont know if any of u have ever spent most of your day at the drs with a newborn and a 17 mth old that was acting like they ate a bowl of sugar for breakfast. I should start showing up late to appts since I dont get seen on time anyways lol. I used to do that at my ob appts in fla , since I was never seen on time I never worried about being there on time. The nurse there was nice though she took joseph for a walk aroudn the clinic while I was waiting 2 hrs for a prescription. Then watched them so I could bring my car to the door since it was windy and rainy, so it coulda been worse.

.Tink, everyone is not going to agree with you all of the time, its a part of life, some people agree, disagree, and harshly disagree.......If you ask a question/opinion you will get a mixed reaction. Sometimes you need to look past the bluntness/harshness and try to see the intended message .O.R, you can just ignore the negative comments totally.

But don't stop posting.....Because you do get some positive feedback also. And just because we may sometimes disagree it doesn't mean that we think that you are a bad person and don't want you around.

I dont have a problem taking any of my kids to the dr . Just saying that is sounded bad to me the way she said it. Oh and diane I got 2 3month old babies and my husband works from 7am-7pm so I dont get any help from him. So dont play that pitty story. Melissa sorry but I can say what I think .You say what you want so dont tell me what to do.

im not saying a pity story, but ugh you just act like your the perfect person and perfect parent. No ones perfect. You just turn everythign around that I say. Even with the vitamins on the other post, there are lots that took flinstones without consulting there drs. There are lots that got the vitamins that never took em,. I am not the only one in the world. Like my dad said women have been having babies for millions of years and im pretty sure we didnt always have prenatal vitamins.

I know people can have there own opinions, everyone elses I dont worry about its just that yours chase always seem like you gotta one up someone or something or act better then someone (me mostly). Like oh I love my kids more then you because I take them to the dr every chance I get for a drop of snot . Etc. Ask first about what I said and what I mean by what I said before commenting on it . Online you cant exactly use a tone of voice or anything other then smileys to say what your saying so people will know what u mean.

Hey, I dont like going to the drs either especially for hours on end with an infant or a toddler...And I do agree with your comment about women having babies for millions of years and I doubt in the stoneage they had vits....And there is no need to consult your dr on taking flinstones but they are not recommended simply for the lack of iron or little of...

Oh I am not a perfect parent but I would not tell someone to take flinstones instead of prenatals and make comments about how its a pain to take my kids to the Dr. Why have kids if you dont like what comes along with it such as no free time to go do what you wanna do.

omg now your trying to say I never wanted kids? I dont care about no free time etc, I had nothing better to do today. I didnt mean a pain to take the kids to the dr like I hate doing things for my kids. Just I hate going to the clinic because so far everytime ive been there ive been there for hours and I dont even really get seen til at least an hr after my appt time. I dont think ive ever been seen on time at that place. And I have no options to go to another Dr. I didnt tell them to take flinstones, I said they can not that they have to or should. Just an option, im sure she would tell her dr if she thought about doing that anyways. My dr told me if the prenatals were making me really sick that icould take flinstones just as long as I got the extra vitamins from foods etc. But all drs are different too. Its not like im telling them to go get arsenic or something, flinstone vitamins wont kill you or your baby . Like I said to each there own. And again I dont think im the only one that has ever said maybe u can take flinstones. Im almost sure im not the only one who has given that advice or opinion

I was just telling you that you were being very harsh and rude to her and it was unnecessary.

nope, you are not the only one who has said that before, i've heard it many times about taking the flintstones with folic acid supplements....Especially for the pregnant women who get sick from the regular prenatal vitamins.

Im just confused now, because its all about stating opinion , yet I did in another post and someone actsl ike im teling someone how to kill themself. It could have been worded differently other then basically sayig noooo dont do that because thats not waht I would do, could have said well I think you should consult with your dr first though.
