Speaking of Dogs....

I really, really, really want my dogs
back! I had to give them away because of
the jealousy issues and the problems that
I was having taking care of them when I
was pregnant. But now I feel like I
could take them back. The thing is that
they are happy with my uncle. They are
very energetic dogs and he takes them on
hour long walks twice daily, plus his
fenced in property includes a half acre of
woods. So they're living in doggie
paradise! I'm concerned that taking them
back would be too disruptive for them.
My uncle has already said that he would
like to keep them (he's a super dog
person, with my 2 dogs he has a total of
6). Do you think it would be wrong to
take them back? Should I just adopt
another dog? Any help would be
appreciated!

Yeah, I think it would be wrong to take
them back, they are already settled and
they love their life....To disrupt that
would be wrong to do to them and to your
uncle i.M.O

I thought so. I figured it would be me
just being selfish to take them back...

Good advice... I think I will wait until
he's potty trained to get a pup. One
mess at a time, lol! And growing up with
a dog is absolutely awesome!

Yeah,i agree with everyone else.And it's a
good idea to wait until .Chu is potty
trained first but if you want one now you
could adpot one who is a bit older and is
already potty trained and will take to
.Chu.Just go down to the pound and see!
Maybe a small dog first?

Yeah a dog when the kids are young is hard
when the pup isnt house broken or trained
not to take off out the front door any
time its opened.
We had to give our beagle to a group that
trains beagles for search and rescue
becuse everytime we opened the front door,
she'd take off and not come back. I'd
have to go after her and into other
peoples yards, and even then she'd run
off. Thank .God I run fast or else i'd
never have caught her.

Just takes a lot of dilligent training.
It took about 6 months. You basically
gotta use a training leash, one thats only
about 2 feet long, so it makes them get
used to being right by you, plus when they
stray, you can shake an empty soda can
with a penny in it at them.. They hate
that sound and they'll do almsot anything
to not hear it again lol
