STD : bump above pubic hair
Posted: 01-19-07 12:11pm

I have a bump just above where my pubic hair grows that is red around the base but has a brownish color. its been there for months but I havent had any other problems or symptoms. i dont think its possible for me to have an std, but i thought i should ask. I've looked at symptoms for stds but none seem to last for this long. do you have an idea of what it is or how i can get rid of it?

According to the description you've provided (brownish bump with surrounding redness, under pubic area, persisting for several months), it doesn’t sound like you are describing some kind of STD... but you could be experiencing an infection of the skin. Without seeing the skin lesion it is impossible to establish a correct diagnosis. Therefore, you can visit your primary health provider or a dermatologist, if necessary for diagnosis, treatment options, and follow up.
