So I just got back from the er, with some shocking news.

I'm five weeks pregnant and was having some cramping in my uterus. I just wanted to go to the er to make sure everything was ok. This is my first baby so I thought I was being overcautious.

After doing a pelvic exam and an ultrasound they decided that I needed to come back on sunday for a recheck. They found something in my right ovary and didn't see a baby on the ultrasound. The doctor said it could be one of two things.

1.) I have an ectopic pregnancy or
2.) I have an ovarian cyst in my ovary, and since my hormone level is so low, maybe the baby isn't showing up on the ultrasound.

Right now, i'm so scared. The doctor told me to come back in 48 hours. Until then I think i'm going to go crazy with all this stress.

Has this happened to anyone before, or can anyone ease my mind.

I would think they woulda known if it were ectopic, at 5 wks the baby is stil rather small . So im not suer, ive never had an ultrasound that early . So it could also be a healthy pregnancy ya never know. Did they to the belly ultrasound or the vaginal. The vaginal is what usually works best that early on and most drs will do that before abotu liek 12 weeks or so rather then the stomach

My good friend just had an eptopic pregnancy and she was 5 weeks along the pain was so unbareable she thought her apendix and burst. She didn't know she was pregnant but they saw the baby right away in her tube, and it had to be removed. I don't know if that helps but at least that is how it was for one person, I know everyone is diffrent.
