i totally understand wanting to be a good mom but sometimes it's better knowing less than more. What are you gonna do when he's older and things don't go by "the book"?

Anyhoo like I say , to each their own, but I think you over-compensate sometimes for being a young mom, which you don't have to, you're a good mom. Period.

Ok ok 5$ isn't too bad. I thought they were all like 50$ hardcover ones.. Razz

Thank you. That is really sweet.
I understand where you are coming from, but, in this situation, I feel that knowing "less than more" can potentially end up with disastrous consequences for my child. I could never live with myself if my child ended up with say autism or something similair because I failed to do my research, and remained ignorant. So many people simply dont know, they just go with the norm or whatever and when their children get sick or have adverse reactions then what...
Measles are temporary, autism is forever. And not just autism but I will shut up now. I just want to protect my son.

Just because some people don't go out and buy books on every little thing on parenting doesn't make me or anyone ignorant.

I'm sure .Nat didn't mean "ignorant" in an insulting way. I think she meant it as far as "uneducated on the subject" as far as the risks go.

Come on, ladies, let's keep it civil... Sad

Ignorant is poting sits that look upon the subject negatively! Why not post sites that state pros & cons??

That, to me, is ignorant.

Geez! Yes aya! That is what I meant!
The definition of ignorant is uneducated on the subject.

I am saying, that .I, .Natalie, did not want to remain uneducated on the subject after all of the horrible things I heard about vaccines.

I didnt call any of you ignorant, at least laura can read.

I agree about biased info, either for or against, being somewhat bad. But let's try to keep the peace here. At the end of the day, people should weigh the pros and cons and come to a choice they're comfortable with in regards to their child. I think we all agree with that, right?
