Hi Cece7,

is soo nice of you to share your learnings

Ocdengineer, I hope you are
fairly old. Xanax is a horrible and
addictive drug. I am now 58 years old and
have been taking Valium for 35 years. It
worked fine at first, but now I'm much
worse than I was with my original
problems. Both Valium and Xanax are drugs
in the benzodiazepine family of drugs and
these drugs are more addicting than
heroin! If you are still young, you
should definitely reconsider taking
Xanax.
really that addictive? I took them before
but never on a regular basis and thank god
for that if this is true
I'm not a doctor but I think you have to
take them everyday and possibly more than
once a day for quite awhile to become
addicted to them.

Anxiety... Posted: 06-05-07 01:19am
Howdy doody all,
Some anxiety can be attributed to outside
triggers -- we all know that. However;
there can be internal triggers as well.
Diet malfunctions can lead to increased
anxiety and anxiety in general. With how
crazy this world is, especially with work,
money, opposite sex, etc... we need all
the information we can about how to find
our "center" and deal with anxiety.
Supplements may be needed as well. The
brain feeds off what WE feed it! If we do
not feed it the right things there are
consequences. If your diet is not
sufficient, then you need to look into
taking supplements, makes sense doesn't
it???
The brain is a mystery; to me, to you, to
everyone... Learn more about it, learn why
things are they way they are "up there",
and you might gain a better understanding
of how to keep things level.
Amazing webpage about the neurological
system as a whole, give it a look --
Lots of information -- study, study, study
-- about your mind and psyche.

Have you tried cbt Collette? Your symptoms
are classic ones and if you apply yourself
cbt will help you get your life back.

I started waking up with HUGE awful panic
attacks after 9/11. My doc prescribed me
Xanax...a white one in the morning, a
white one at lunch, a white one at dinner
and a blue one at bed time...seems like a
lot I know...but they really work for me.
The white ones are really very weak and
the blue one is like 4 white ones and I
pass right out and don't wake up in a
panic mode. She gave me a sleeping
pill...Ambian I think it was called...at
first but I would wake up after 3 or 4
hours of sleep and be wide awake again.
The Xanax works for me.

Homerx I'm glad xanax works for you. Be
careful as I hear it can be very addictive
and that seems like a pretty high dose you
are on. Best wishes.

4 sure. I think I am addicted cuz if I
don't take them I get really shaky and
feel awful and panic worse than ever...I
have been on them for years so I guess I
will be on them for the rest of my life,
which is fine. I
have to have them or I cant function.
Thank you for the good wishes and same to
you.
