Could I Still Be Pregnant. Posted: 01-22-07 00:59am
Hello! My name is amber. I am 20 years
old and I have a seven month old little
boy. After I had my son my periods were
at the most 42 days apart. Before my
pregnancy they were on the same day of
every month for pretty much ever since I
started! In december I didnt have a
period, but then added it up and I
shouldnt have started til' the seventh of
jan! Well it came and past and I never
started. I went to my obgyn and he gave
me a preg test and it was neg. He said
that they are sensitve and that I wasnt
pregnant. If I didnt start in two months
to come back. He didnt give me a chance
to tell him all of my symptoms or
anything..He was in a rush. I then went
to the health department a week later and
the test was also neg. She said the same
thing and she said that I should go see
another obgy or the same one and get blood
test taken she said it might be a hormonal
imbalance. I still have all the symptoms
of being pregnant and I stay sick to my
stomach and it hurts all the time! I
still havent started and havent spotted or
anything. I feel like im going to start
but never do, as I did before! I have
head-aches, back-aches, sickness to my
stomach, my boobs are leaking! (after I
had my son the milk never came in and I
never had a problem with leaking and now
all the sudden they do), I am tired all
the time! I want to know if its possible
that I am pregnant. The woman at the
health department said that all the blood
test and stuff cost a lot of money and I
dont have insurance. My boyfriend and I
plan on getting married in march so if
there isnt a possibilty that im pregnant
then i'll wait to be on his insurance but
if theres a chance then I really need to
know so I can get to the doctor! I just
wanted to know if any other women have
ever had this happen to them! Any
comments would be nice, other than the
ones that say just go to the doctor and
stop writing about it-- if I had the darn
money I would! I dont want to go and
waste money I really dont have when there
isnt really a reason too!
Thanks alot ladies

With two pregnancy tests coming back
negative it sounds like to me that there
could be something else going on. Are you
on any type of birth control at this point
and time? Or did you nurse at all after
having your baby?
You say your baby is 7 months old. Has
your period been irregular for only the
last 2 months? We are not doctors on this
sight but maybe we can lead you in the
right direction to see what can be done
but for the most part the gals on this
sight are going to suggest getting into
see a doctor. But hopefully some of us on
this sight can possibly help you

It sounds hormonal. Hormones can cause
your breast problems. And they can cause
a lot of the symptoms you have.
Your doctor is going to give you a
prescription for a hormone to help your
period start. I'm pretty confident you
are not pregnant if you have had 2
pregnancy tests (and probably more home
tests at home) that are all negative.
Go back to your doctor, tell him you have
not started your period and you are
getting married in march and need things
to be squared away. He should help you at
that point.
Always stand up for yourself at the
doctor's office, no one will do it for
you.
