Well I was on depo the bc shot for about 2
years and I read a lot that many people
got pregnant on the shot and some didnt
even know because when they took the test
somehow the depo would effect the results
and say they werent pregnant and then they
found out that they actually were
pregnant... And I had sex right around
the time I was switching from depo to the
pill, and because this pill also prevents
me from getting my period im not sure if
im pregnant or not because ive had a few
symptoms but it says those same symptoms
can be caused from birthcontrol so im not
sure if im pregnant or not and im scared
that I wont know because I have no way of
knowing if I had a missed period and if
these symptoms are from being pregnant or
from birthcontrol unless I take a test and
ive been really afraid to go and buy one

There is a good chance that you are not
pregnant. Depo is some strong stuff, and
it stays in your body for quite a while.
After women stop taking depo, it can take
a year and a half for them to get pregnant
because the hormones from depo stay in our
body for so long. So if you went on the
pill right after getting off the shot,
chances are you were covered. Also, a
lot of the symptoms for the pill are
pretty close to symptoms for early
pregnancy. I won't say pregnancy is
impossible, however. Neither depo nor
the pill are 100% effective against
pregnancy. If you are pregnant, you will
have to stop taking the pill as soon as
possible (unless you are planning on
aborting, I suppose), as it can harm the
baby.
