Increasing Bad Situation Posted: 01-26-07 21:15pm
I'm a member of another pregnancy forum,
but no no one there ever answered my
question very well. I got my period last
month (dec.) on the 16 and laasted thru
the 21. It's already the 26 of jan. And
no period. Now my period usuallystart
2-3 day later than the one previous. Yet
taking that into consideration, i'm pretty
late. I've taken 3 preg. Tests both
digital and non, andthey have all came up
negative. Other than a skipped period, I
don't have any other signs of pregnancy,
although I have had cramping for a very
short while (ten minutes tops) a couple
days last week. Then in class today I got
these really sharp stabbing pains in my
abdomin, which werent anything like my
usual cramps, it hurt to even move,
butthen wen taway after about 20 minutes.
I'm sorry for such a long post, but i'm
starting to freak out because i'm never
this late and at first I wasn't worried
but now, i'm starting to wonder... Does
anyone have any advice?

It looks like you are about 1 week late on
your period. A pregnancy test should show
up by now. Are you taking it in the
morning with your first morning urine like
it says on the directions?
If you are very concerned, you can always
go to the doctor. Have you been having
unprotected sex? If you have been, then
you know it is likely you could be
pregnant - but no one can tell you if you
are pregnant.
This might be a good time to find a method
of birth control!

I never engage in unprotected sex. I
broke up with my boyfriend over 2 weeks
ago. I believe if i'm correct, the last
time we had sex was the 5th of jan. Only
once, with a condom that didn't break.
We have been having sex for a year and
i've always been a few days late since I
became sexually active, but liek I said
never this late. I've already asked my
mom about birth control like 3 months ago,
and she said i'd ahve to wait until I get
insurance and a doctor again. S oyou
advise me to take another test? And no,
I haven't been taking them in the morning,
I did once, but I screwed it up and the
test didn't work right.

you can go to planned parenthood for birth
control (and pregnancy testing). It is
free.

Do they just offer a home pregnancy
test?
Or is it a bloodwork test?
Do I have to haveaparent with me as well..
I'd rather not tell my mother
unless I know for sure i'm pregnant.

planned parenthood does not tell your
parents. They only give a test similar to
a home pregnancy test. At least you'll
get an accurate result. If you are over a
week late on your period, a pregnancy test
should be positive if you are pregnant.
And since you've taken multiple tests, you
are probably not pregnant.
They won't tell your parents anything
about birth control you are taking or
anything.

Whew! That's a relief. I found a
location about 40 minutes away, so i'll
see what I can do.. I justcan't let my
found out, I don't care how calm about it
she'd be. I just pray to god i'm not
pregnant...
